St. Columba's Catholic Boys' School

KS4 Outcomes/Progress 8

GCSE Results Summer 2025

Last year, our Grade 5+ English and Maths GCSE outcomes set us apart as one of the leading schools in the Bexley area, and we were delighted to share this success with both our students and their families. This year, we are now one of the leading non-selective schools in the South East that boys can attend with nearly all of our students achieving a standard pass in English and Maths with many achieving Grade 7+ in English and Maths.

Students at St Columba's Catholic Boys' School celebrated a set of exam results once again well above the boys' national average figure - a real achievement in a selective Borough. Particularly strong results in English, Maths, Triple Science, Modern Foreign Languages and RS sit well alongside a pleasing number of students going on to take A Level maths having achieved the high grades they needed. This is a testament to their hard work, resilience and determination.

Headteacher Dave Evans commented "I am pleased that so many of our St Columba's boys in the Class of 25 have responded to our challenge to Rise Above; high expectations have seen them achieve grades that have enabled the students to take up a wide range of Post 16 places from A levels at Christ the King or local grammar schools, through vocational courses at other sixth form providers to apprenticeships. The results are testament to the hard work of the students supported by all the fantastic staff at St Columba's."

Therefore, as a school, we have shown we are committed to academic success whilst not losing our mission of being a fully inclusive community that supports all our students. At St Columba's, we care about developing the whole student and believe in 'Excellence for All' to allow all our students to 'have life, and have it abundantly' John 10:10

As our recent 'Good' Ofsted has highlighted, 'Pupils are keen to come to this happy, inclusive school. This is a caring community that welcomes and celebrates diversity. The school sets high expectations for learning, behaviour and attendance.'

These results represent not only the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students but also the continuous commitment of our talented teaching staff and supportive school community.
